I've been playing D&D for over a decade and largely with the same group of friends. We'd been playing weekly for years in a sort of 3-on-1-off schedule. But years back some of our players got into 3D printing and that unleashed a lot of cool new options for our games. 3D figures need to be painted, and so a few of us started using that week off to get together, chat, and paint figures for a few hours.
